Decided to walk my two beautiful babies to the farm cafe today, enjoy a nice coffee, cake and see some animals.
Before we even left home i lost my temper as my daughter refused suncream then proceeded to sit on the floor and cry, remove her shoes just as we are leaving.
Walking there in the hot sun, couple of tantrums on the way to there jumping on and off the buggy board, rolled my pram through a massive pile of dog shit, a man approached me with an smile, thought he was going to compliment my beautiful aura and well rounded attitude but no he watched me push the pram through poo, and lots of it, arrive at the farm shop, closed. Just before entering I though must clean the wheel then can access a sink wash my hands and dispose of the poop wipes, the were not open to serve anyone lm stood there with poo tissues asked if I can please wash my hands and get rid of them, was given a sandwhich bag and go on merry way. Walking out of the cafe another screaming tantrum and this time I lost the plot, not happy with myself. I feel like such a failure and I’m now say in m&s as a hot mess typing this out trying not to scream and scared if somebody crosses my path today I’m going to bite their head off.
Please somebody help me feel less alone today 🙏

That is a horrible morning! I am sorry you are dealing with all that. 😞

I think you did pretty good I would have cried and went back home after rolling the stroller in the poop I wouldn’t even had cleaned it just left the whole thing outside and would have gave up so good job for trying to continue your day

I would get like that too. Everything is starting to happen at once and you just lose it and then you don’t like yourself.. I get it. But think of it this way, your little one looks at you, she doesn’t know what to do because she has her own emotions she’s learning how to deal with. When she sees you get frustrated, she will get frustrated easily too. Try to tell her I’ll be right back and after making sure she’s safe, walk away not too far but far enough so you can take a breath, slow breaths and tell yourself that you got this. When you’re calm, go and get down to her eye level, apologize for losing your cool but tell her why you lost it and explain why it’s important to put sunscreen on or whatever you need her to do. Kids don’t think like us so when we say no to something they don’t think why they can’t do something they just look at it as a challenge you know? You got this! It takes time but as long as you lead by example, she will follow you, also being silly helps
