First time self expressing!

How do you self express I've been trying just to see if I have anything but have no clue if I'm doing it right

I do the c method. Cup your hand like it’s going around a cup and squeeze out going down the breast. Sometimes I even “twisted” the c going around my breast . Like massaged it out when I got closer to the nipple. I looked up how to self express and use the first video that popped up honestly and she gave a great tip to change the angle here and there . Why did you do it? There was too much leakage or you were just curious? And how many weeks are you?

so in my post I said I don’t have much communication with my doctor due to them not communicating with me. Which causes me not to know what to do, I have a lot of pregnant friends due to this app and see many girls posting about already saving colostrum. I wanted to know that if baby came all of a sudden I had something. I wanted to know if my body was understanding it had to feed the baby that was inside of it. My friends tell me all the time they leak and they’re all behind me week wise and I myself was not leaking yet. I’m 36 weeks so I was a little scared I wouldn’t produce enough since this is my first child. I’ve studied every medical thing I could for this child due to the fact that I worry so much about being ready for things . But doing this put me at ease . Sorry for such a long message❤️

i did this the other day too at 36 weeks :) i leak a lot as it is, so i started off just collecting what was leaking and then i kinda decided spur of the moment to start hand-expressing. i went slowly and made sure to pay attention to any other sensations in my body in case i was causing any contractions. but i pulled a whole 4ml and no contractions! im so proud of my little vial in the freezer lol. ill try again later this week when i hit 37 weeks. im potentially due early, so im trying to still prepare and collect colostrum like i want to, while also trying not to do anything to induce early labor, so im walking a very thin line lol. my dr said she's fine with me hand-expressing after 37 weeks though, so at least i'll be safe NEXT time i do it 🥴 im just a little foolish maybe to have done it so early, but it worked out! i just wouldnt recommend it to someone else, just in case
