Anyone else feel like their partner is doing the bare minimum for you during pregnancy? Sure my boyfriend has been to every appointment so far with me and every so often he will give me a back rub or get me something from the shop, but 99% of the time he is playing on his Play station until early hours of the morning. He also leaves cans and wrappers everywhere that I end up throwing away and he leaves his dirty laundry on the floor next to the laundry bin. Ever since he moved in, I have been the one clearing up after him and not once has he offered to help me. He says that i should just ask for help if I need it but the amount of times I have asked him to do something while I'm at work and I come home to see him on his games and hadn't done the task I asked him to do is ridiculous. Sorry for the rant but I just need a little advice really.

I would honestly just sit there and rest and say u need to rest now. N that u don't have energy. I feel like a lot of men will do what they need to but only when they need to. Tell him your in pain you need a break. At least make an effort to put wrappers away. Don't stress yourself out. Have a healthy conversation about it n show your upset rather than angry so he there's not a massive kick off . Xxx

I am in exactly the same boat hunny, and I’m absolutely sick of it but every time is say that I am not feeling great he says I use my pregnancy as an excuse which obviously isn’t the case. But when I talk to him about it, it ends up in an argument because he doesn’t see what I see and how I’m feeling. He always thinks I’m nagging which isn’t the case. X

I’m really sorry that’s happening. That sounds unacceptable.

I hate to be this person but if he’s done it since you moved in & hasn’t changed now he’s not going to change. Me & my partner broke up in feb last year when our daughter was 8/9 months old. It was for the best I don’t have to clean up after him or anything just my dependant

Just stop doing it you’re not his mother and you’re just about to have a child.
Give it a week and he’ll get the idea.
