Thanks @Hannah I didn't know about this place, we'll chek it out.
Oo nice :) I used to live in Leicester and visit bradgate Park quite alot to walk around all the trails and to see the deer (sorry if you know it already)
I'm based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, so these are a bit too far for us right now for a day trip, but will keep in mind for later or for a potential family holiday in the peaks. We've been there rock climbing, it's one of our favourite places. Thank you!
Where abouts are you thinking? I have a couple in Staffordshire? Dovedale- There are 2 sides to a stream and 1 is a lot flatter than the other, there are stepping stones and an ice cream shop at the end in a little village. A toilet is on the carpark too Dimmingsdale (alton)- nice place to eat (with a loo!), nice lake to walk around, couple of nice trails going up to the chained oak or along the old railway line, nice place to spend a day
Hicks lodge in ashby is great... theres a gruffalo for the little ones.. a variety of walks ranging from just over a 1 mile up to 5 miles... and a great coffee shop at the end!!
