My 1 year old has started refusing her second nap. Is this the end of two naps or did anyone else’s baby go back to having two? Is this just a phase? Didn’t realise how much I relied on that nap 😅

Usually refusing means they’re ready to transition, but you should still introduce the second nap everyday until your baby just will NOT settle and it’s like hell trying to get them down. My girl would go between 1-2 naps for like 2 weeks before completely transitioning to 1. It’s a little tiring going through those weeks as grumpy was my girls favourite feeling during but that’s when you know you can completely remove that second nap! X
Thank you, I think I just wasn’t expecting it so soon as she has not long turned one. But I’ll keep trying and see how it goes x

Well my girl literally started having sleep issues the day after she turned one, and 2 weeks ish after that she was on 1 nap. Now she’s 19m and it’s always 1 nap but it actually increased in length overtime, at beginning she’d sleep like 1.5 hours and have a very early morning and bedtime and now she sleeps 3 hours ish so bedtime is later, it got a bit getting used to bc I also relied on that second nap to get things done 😅 xx

Around my daughter turning 1 she dropped her second nap of the day, but then continued on one nap until she was 3! The one nap just was abit longer so wasn’t the end of the world haha.
Probably means she’s ready if she’s fighting it, and if you do get her down and bedtime is hard it’s another sign that she’s ready to go down to one nap.
