Should I be as upset as I am?

My husband complains about not have any sleep but he doesn’t come to bed until almost 4 am every night because he is playing video games with his friends. But then gets mad that he has to wake up around 9 to start taking care of the baby. He takes naps through out the day with the baby while I work from home but then constantly complains he never gets to sleep and he is always in a bad mood unless he wants to have sex. I don’t ever get to take naps because I’m either working, taking care of the baby or doing house chores. I’m always tired but I don’t complain to him about it.

And another thing is that he gets so frustrated with our 3 month old because he won’t go to sleep. I always have to step in and do it for him. He is honestly the laziest person. And it drives me insane.

You should 100% be upset! Why is he staying up til 4 am on the game like he’s a teenager anyways. He’s a father tell him to DEAL WITH IT! I’m sure you are tired aswell, I stopped having sex with mine the moment he started slacking.. it’s so unattractive to me. The getting upset at the baby shit annoys me and I just take my baby because 9/10 they’re annoyed because they want the baby to hurry and sleep so they can do absolutely nothing.

Tell him you will destroy that game if he complains to you or the baby again ..

Ooouuu I’d take a hammer to it

I’m jus as tired you think i want to hear that

Whew child it would be a fight

Fight night ding ding ding anywhere between midnight and 4am

Sorry for the honesty but sounds like a douche to me!!

You have full right to be upset and tell him you’ll burn the game.
I am sorry but his company doesn’t seem great either.. his gamer friends should know that he is a FATHER now..
I am sorry u are going through this. Stay strong

that’s exactly what he does. He wants him to hurry up and go to sleep so I hear him hollering at him and get frustrated. Honestly I don’t even enjoy sex anymore because it’s so unattractive that he doesn’t try harder. And he already has a daughter from a previous relationship so he should know better.

yeah I’ve threatened him with that and he just laughs cause he things I’m joking. And he laughs and doesn’t take me seriously when I try to tell him how upset or mad I am

Avatar

So do it.. he won’t be laughing when you do it

Bet he’d take you serious after that

He also lives like a pig. A messy house to him is okay because that’s how his mother and grandmother live. They are hoarders so he has become one too. I’m a clean house kind of person because of how my mother was. I don’t like things cluttered or messy. He had 4 big boxes filled with t shirts that he said he had to keep and I hate to say it but I’ve been going behind his back and taking some of them to goodwill because we don’t need all of that! He holds onto unnecessary things and it drives me insane

Okay so i hate to say it like this but it sounds like you need to leave him. Your complaints of him is not ordinary complaints of a relationship. Him not putting the toilet seat down, him not being as good with your child as you are yet he trys, him not being able to cook so he burns everything.. those are normal. Your husband getting so frustrated that he is hollering at your kid would really piss me off more than anything you’ve stated. Also how is he staying up until 4am playing video games, then being with the baby during the day taking naps while your working? He doesn’t work does he? If that’s the case that’s another reason why he shouldn’t be upset he not getting “enough” sleep.

Avatar

he does work. He works from 4-11 at night.

If this doesn’t sound like my damn husband 👏 🫨 I cannot stand it!! He works during the day but only 4 days a week I work from home and care for the kids, house, etc and he stays up till sometimes later than 4am to play and tells me I should be grateful he’s not out drinking or partying he’s only playing games

yeah my husband doesn’t drink so I don’t have to worry about that

Is this clever or cruel?

My husband and i were talking and with social media and the internet in general being a terrifying dumpster fire, we are trying to figure out the best way to keep our son safe while still teaching him how to safely be online and moderation.

We landed on the idea of giving him the 90's kid treatment. A computer in the living room for us to keep an eye on what hes doing online, and once we feel hes mature enough to hang with friends without adult supervision he gets a flip phone. When we feel he is responsible enough and he earns and saves up the money for the physical phone, case, and screen cover, then we will be happy to take him to get a smart phone.

I thought this was air tight, but now my brother says its cruel to give a kid a flip phone, and besides he can just use his friends phones at school.

My husband and i remember a time before the internet, and we remember having complete access to something no one understood yet. We saw unspeakable things and are always battling with the urge to put the phone and social media down. I dont want that for my son, especially with his brain so vulnerable still.

Partner no longer wants baby #2

Before our son was born we originally both wanted minimum 2 kids but we were hoping for 3-4. My partner found the birth traumatic to watch and also struggled a lot with the newborn/baby stage. He no longer wants to have any more children and it’s completely breaking my heart. I need another baby. We’ve spoken about it a lot and the options. He said he wasn’t COMPLETELY closed off to it so I asked him to try and work through his feelings and reconsider his decision. He eventually said he definitely doesn’t want another. I know that I will always want one and my feelings will never change. Do we have to break up or does anyone know anything else I can do to help change his mind? Has anyone else’s partner said this and then changed their mind? I don’t want to break up because I adore him and our life together and I’d hate to split up our family for “selfish” reasons and make my son miss out on having both of us together but I just don’t know what to do

Nursery funding

My child turned 9 months last week. I applied for government funded hours nearly 2 months ago and so well within the required timeframe for the April term, however upon receiving my first invoice without the funding applied and having questioned this, I have now been informed that the stretched funding doesn’t start until 4th May.

Has anyone else been told it won’t start until May?

The government site states it should start from April 1st, and so I intentionally set my nursery start and return to work as the start of April for that reason, knowing that I wouldn’t be able to afford the nursery on my sole income without the funding

Jealous of my husband

I’m so jealous of him and it’s making me resentful. We have a ten week old and I’m jealous that he is at work all day. I’m jealous he can leave for lunch and actually eat an uninterrupted lunch. Take a phone call uninterrupted. Chat with a friend he runs in to uninterrupted. Even go to the bathroom when he wants uninterrupted. He comes home from work when he wants. He’s not on a set schedule. Some days are late some are early. It depends on when he’s done. I’m jealous he can come home at 10pm and shower, eat and go right to bed uninterrupted because I already have the baby asleep. He doesn’t have to worry about anything house wise or baby wise because I’ve done it all. Meanwhile I’m covered in puke and crap and smell like rotten milk. When he is home he is VERY active and helpful. So it’s not that. I’m just jealous his world hasn’t changed and mine has I guess. This isn’t something he’s doing wrong so I’m not sure how to get past this. I wish I could keep him home all day because that’s how helpful he is, but I understand he obv needs to work.
