Visitors

Hi! I'm due for an induction tomorrow for tailing growth. Will my partner be allowed to stay with me overnight even if things are not progressing quickly or only if I'm actually in labour? Thanks.

I’m having an induction Sunday for the same reason. I did read in the leaflet that although they aren’t allowed to stay over night they have flexible visiting hours but doesn’t actually detail what that means xxxxxx

Yes usually your partner is welcome to stay he is not considered a visitor. But if you still have questions I would Google your labor and delivery hospitals phone number and call and ask them they are really good at telling you what is allowed and isn’t.

No, unless you are on the labour ward he has to leave by 8pm x

oh we may see each other there then. Are you going to LGI or SJH? Let's see what flexible hours are...😅

thank you! I hope things go fast and he doesn't have to leave for long 🤞🏼

I’m over in Wakefield so I’ll be going to Wakefield.. if there’s any beds 🤣 I’ve heard getting a bed at pinderfields is very tricky and people are ending up all over the place so we shall see 🤣 xxxxxx

When i was induced my husband was allowed to stay overnight he just had to sleep on the chair near my bed, its just after labour when he wasnt allowed to stay x

hopefully! 🤞🏻be prepared that you’ll be in a few days though 🙈 I did 2 nights on my own before being taken up to labour ward but I know some can be even more than that!

I think it depends on the hospital rules, both times I got induced I was allowed to have 2 other people in the room with me overnight and for delivery so the first time with my son I had my husband and mom there with me the whole time and my second time with my daughter I had my husband and sister with me the whole time

Unfortunately not, only if your in labour he’s allowed to stay

Each hospital has diff rules I'd call and ask the hospital

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

2nd pregnancy after c section

I’m not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but in the future possibly. I just wanted to know how is pregnancy after c section like my fear is having to go through another emergency operation or even putting strain on my incision during pregnancy

Baby Movements

Hello, I’m a FTM currently 18W5D pregnant. I’ve been getting this tugging feeling in my stomach after I eat, it’s uncomfortable but not painful. I don’t know whether that’s the baby moving or round ligaments pain.

I’ve also been getting round ligament pain which is either a sharp stabbing pain or a stretching sensation. These happens whether or not I’ve eaten while the tugging feeling is only after I’ve eaten.

So, could the tugging feeling be the baby or something else.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.
