Feeding yourself

Does anyone really really struggling to feed themselves with LO? I'm not sure if it's just me, and obviously it depends of whether LO is having a good day or bad day, but I barely manage to eat most days. I think his is why our breastfeeding journey came to end earlier than I liked. I try to cook in bulk, but my husband gyms and eats in bulk. I'm really struggling, any tips ladies please!

Your husband should be making sure you eat, even if it means he has to cook dinners or take the baby for a while, that's unfair to you

I’m struggling to eat , I try to get health ish snacks I can have in the go c

Yep! I'm often lucky if I've managed to have lunch by 4:30pm. Breakfast I only manage because it's often a banana and I eat it one handed on the go. Lunch often ends up being hummus on toast, mid afternoon eaten on floor whilst playing with LO 🤷‍♀️

Oh also, I don't eat much most days either 😂

I don’t think I’d actually eat if my husband didn’t make it. If he’s going to the office he’ll make me a lunch and leave it in the fridge so I can just grab it. Otherwise sometimes if I’m hungry enough, baby wear and make something

I hear this! You can’t rely on your husband if he is busy so would make easy simple things like make sure you have breakfast even if it’s cereal, lunch a sandwich you make the night before possibly? My food is usually always cold by the time I eat it. I have the buggy set up in the kitchen ready for when we go on walks and started getting some meals in me by popping little one in it so I could make something. Maybe this will help? Looking at doing some smoothies to get my veggies in atm as I am getting quite drained and am a bit run down. Yes it’s nice for someone to make sure you are eating etc but doesn’t always work out like that. I even did one big big meal so I was covered for a few hours as that was the only time I got at one point. Hope that helps!

I also meal prep and cook in bulk as hubby trains. I don’t really like the same food so was in the same boat as you. Xx

I kept certain healthy bars and snacks with me at the bed for breakfasts if we haven’t had a great night xx

Make life easy for you however you can! Early on I had a water bottle upstairs and downstairs so wherever I was I had it. I found it hard holding the bottle and little one if she was asleep etc

Cut up fruit and veg and have it in a pot ready to eat when your feeding or with little one. I bought asda ready made salad pots at one point too that helped me get back on track with eating as it was ready xx

I’m exactly the same!! I lost my appetite ever since I gave birth and some days hardly eat anything. It’s been scaring me lately so I’ve been trying to make sure I eat at least 3 meals but it’s so hard! X

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
