Baby rolls at 2 weeks

Baby rolls onto his side at night. All the way, not just his head. Scares the crap out of me.

I bought this in hopes that itll keep him from rolling.

Thoughts? Advice? We have tried rolling towels and putting them on either side. He somehow rolls right into and around them.

Would this insert be okay for a preemie? He is tiny.

Any advise on finding one to fit the ingenuity bassinet?

It’s definitely safer to leave baby and not prop them up with anything, they could end up suffocating. Mine does the same! This young they don’t roll in the sense that an older baby does, they roll due to the motion of scrunching up, therefore it’s very unlikely they will be able to roll over any further onto their front. As long as you put baby to sleep on their back and if you happen to see them on their side just put them back on their back. No need to do this religiously, only if you happen to see it, they should grow out of it but I was worried at the beginning too!

1. Where is your son sleeping?
2. The surface he sleeps in is it levelled/even?

The rolling all the way to their tummy at that early age only happens when the surface is uneven, make sure he sleeps in a flat surface. Also try to swaddle him when he sleeps

Lookup ‘newborn curl’ it’s pretty common, our little guy did it too. I just kept an eye on him and would roll him back into his back. If he was gassy, we’d try let him stay on his side while we hung out with him for a while bc it made him feel better. Doc said he was fine on his side if we watched him.

Would you rather?

A) child sleeps all night long, no wake ups/nothing, but is a huge menace all day

B) child has multiple wakes up during the night/menace at night, but is a saint during the day

my husband asked me this today and I was stumped..

Should I be concerned or am I overthinking?

My little boy is 15 months old, he’s recently taken his first steps and he says mamma and dadda and baba (he has said these for months) we’ve filled out the paperwork for his 12-14 month review and it looks like he isn’t meeting many of his milestones.

He doesn’t copy actions, point, clap etc. He doesn’t react when being spoken to, or to his name. He actively avoids eye contact.

He was so unresponsive to sound that we just had his hearing tested concerned he was deaf. They found that he could hear so he is just choosing not to react to any noises or sounds.

Has anyone else had similar experiences with their little ones? Should I be raising this with the health visitor and ask to be assessed for neurodivergent issue or a social communication problem like autism?

I don’t want to just slap a label on him, but I do feel that there are real concerns. All opinions welcome!!

Routines?

When did you start to introduce your baby’s routine? Do they just have a night routine or full day routine? Wondering when I should start this e.g naps at the same time everyday.

Any routines you have that work for you, please let me know them with timestamps. my baby is 6 weeks and just wondering when we should start them?

Lump on Breast

I just went into the doctor today for a lump on my breast. I am curious to know if anyone has had a similar experience and what the outcome was.

So I have had this lump on my breast for at least three months now. I exclusively breast feed and I had noticed a lump and originally thought it was a clog until it didn’t go away. The doctor is having me go in for an ultra sound to get it checked out. Has anyone else had this and it turned out to be benign? Kind of freaking out but also knowing this can happen to pregnant/breastfeeding mamas.
