I left the house for the third time this week with my 6 week old! Is it a little overwhelming and stressful? Yes but the more we do it the more we will get used to it. It’s all about planning and coordinating. Now granted today we did have a meltdown on the drive home because she was hungry but she did not have a meltdown while we were grocery shopping so I’m calling that a win. I’ve been doing what I can to expose her to sounds and different environments so she does well with it all as she grows! If I can do it as a first time mom then you can do it too! I’m not sure if this will help anyone but just wanted to share. Just a little proud of myself 🤪

Congrats ! One step at a time. Once you get into the rhythm, it gets easier. If you nurse, I always feed before driving again if it's close to the mark, otherwise I will be pulling on a side road 😂
I'm a second time parent so it's a different challenge 😃

Thank you for sharing!
Been so nervous taking my daughter out. She's almost 4 weeks. Just been going to my mums house. But been nervous driving with her. This gives me hope. We can do it! 😊😊

I was definitely stressed/nervous about driving with my little but the way my partner put it
“Your a good driver. You’ve been driving for a while, you know how to drive. Just drive like normal. Drive like there isn’t a baby in the car.”
Which makes sense. Just trust yourself and your instincts!
When she melted down on the drive home I just focused on the music I was playing and pretended everything was fine, like I didn’t have a baby melting down in the back seat 😅😂🫠 We made it home safely, she was fine, and I got her feed. 😊
