Hi ladies, I’m 19 weeks 2 days pregnant and my partner and I thought we’d try playing music to my belly to see if baby would respond. At first he played music at full volume for a song and I then thought what if that has harmed babies hearing! During the next song I told him to turn it down and I got a decibel test up on my phone and we got it to around 70 decibels but I can’t help but worry I have harmed my baby! Any advice? Thank you! Just a note, it was soft 70s music we were playing!

Your baby will be fine. I went to 2 live concerts whilst pregnant, it was incredibly loud and she's got perfect hearing (she's 12 months)

They’ll be fine! I’ve been to concerts, the cinema and all sorts. My husband plays Metallica and iron maiden on my stomach trying to influence baby boys music taste 😂

I worked in a reception class of 45 children when pregnant and had to raise my own voice a lot due to the noise levels. It was chaos 😂Think that’s why my 9 year week old sleeps through any amount of noise 😂 trust me they’ll be fine!

Thank you ladies! This has helped a lot with my anxieties! I’m glad to hear you and your babies are doing well!x

Ohh I had the same panic! Went to see John Wick at the cinema.with my partner and it was the loudest thing ever! Ears were ringing afterwards and was so worried! At the time I thought I was being oversensitive then heard other People complaining as they were leaving..anyway...long story short, my LO came out fine- newborn hearing test was normal. Try not to.worry

Don’t worry. Your baby will be fine. Just keep it a little lower now if it makes you feel more comfortable. Baby will be fine though.

They’re quite well-protected in there! I went to a concert when I was about 8 months pregnant! As long as you’re not standing right in front of the huge speakers for long periods!
