Feeling very frustrated

My boyfriend complains every day about our 1 year old sleeping in the bed with us . I’ve tried every method for getting her in her crib or pack and play and nothing works. I’m so tired of him saying it’s my fault she doesn’t sleep on her own or she doesn’t sleep in her own bed . He makes me question my parenting all the time , he makes me feel like everything I do is wrong . I’m tired of fighting with him every day over it I need help !

you say you’ve tried but has he tried so he can see how hard it really is? we’ve just switched my little girl to a toddler bed and it’s been a nightmare she’s constantly getting out and back in again and it’s soo frustrating!

It’s not your fault.. babies like to be next to their mum.. and that’s normal..

On one hand I can see where he is coming from as I wouldn’t like having a 1 year old in bed with me, but on the other hand he shouldn’t be making you feel bad about it.

How do you feel? Are you still happy with your little one sharing the bed or are you ready for her to move out as well?

If you are both ready for her to move out then he needs to work on it as much as you do. You are both parents and he needs to take some responsibility too. Maybe he needs to question his own parenting?

it’s really not that easy when my baby is screaming momma over and over again it breaks my heart cause I know she wants me . Children who are coddled just having loving parents that want to reassure them that they are always there .

where did you get the toddler bed from ? I was thinking maybe my daughter would probably sleep better in a toddler bed cause she hates her crib

@Nae you're doing great. Ignore @Rose she seems like a vile person who uses "brutal honesty" as a scapegoat for detestable behavior

We're primates. Its natural for babies to want to be with their parents. It's instinctual, and while some parents would rather have a child in their own space, others don't.

If you really, REALLY want your daughter to sleep away from you then you might need to workshop some options. But if you're happy cosleeping, and you're husband's not, I'd consider going to your daughters room to sleep with her.

My husband originally didn't want to cosleep. I spent one night in my daughter's room and he told me he didn't want to sleep alone and we should come back.

If husbands don't want to sleep alone, how do we think a little baby feels?

@Rose ugly people say ugly things. Go be ugly elsewhere babe. Maybe somewhere your talents are appreciated.... like hell ;)

Ignore her nastiness that’s why she can’t even post a real picture of herself 🤣 Insecurity bleeds through in different ways. You are doing great! I’m sorry your partner has so much to say it is definitely not that easy!!

Lol I’d tell him to do the bedtime routine then and the nightly wakes . If LO sleeping in your bed works for you then he can take the sofa if he has a problem with it or he can solve the problem himself. 🙄 xx ❤️

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Bedtime

What time are you getting your LOs down for the night now and how are you finding bedtime? We’ve had the sane routine since my daughter was a few weeks old - bath with her older sister and 6.45, followed by a bottle and ideally in bed by 7.30. This worked at first but over the last few weeks she’s been fighting it a lot and, with the exception of a few days last week which were a lot easier, it’s a bit of a battle to get her down and features a lot of screaming and resettling. Not sure if we are putting her down too early or late? Her last nap is usually a cat nap (30-45 mins) and finishes by 6. She’s pretty good at settling herself from a night feed, but seems to be unable to do it at bedtime, even with her dummy.
