Parenting through mental health

I am struggling today with parenting and mental health. Had a awful parent teacher conference about my child. She has ADHD and wanted to try school without medication. She is 12 and we agreed to try it for a month. Well it ended pretty quickly bc she is not doing any school work and is not focused in school. Well one of her teachers since the 3rd day of school has been not so professional or understanding of her learning difficulties or the fact she has ADHD. She called her lazy and full of excuses today in the meeting in front of her other teachers. I have spoken to other parents whose kids have had this teacher and don't have ADHD or learning disabilities and they sing her praises. And i am struggling to see what they are talking about bc I have only gotten attitude and unprofessional comments. Day 3 of school , she calls me from my daughter phone and doesn't even say her name or "hey everything is ok. I just want to talk about ur child not doing her homework" it was her berating me and said it's unacceptable for my child to not do her homework and I should be doing better at making sure she does. Mind you this is a new school and her 3rd day. After the call I ended up reaching out to the principal bc woah nelly That interaction was awful. Not to mention she never gave me her name. I know knew the subject bc she said "math is important". She was supposed to call and apologize and she absolutely did not. So i let it go and chalked it up to her having a bad day. And after today i think that's just her. And before this conference I had emailed said teacher about school work and she claims in the conference "that she couldn't figure out the app and that it's not what she used last year. To be honest I really wanted to say "that sounds like an excuse and super lazy of u. But hey someone has to be a professional lol. So i said its ok I understand once again. I don't know how to say what i need to without sounding like a jerk or a mama bear. And on top of this i am struggling with my mental health and own adhd. I have been short with all my kids and family bc of it too. And sometimes I feel so alone. And i know thats not true but geez whiz

Due to your daughter having a disability which is a protected characteristic I would ask the teacher to make reasonable adjustments in regards to homework and ask what additional support she will providing

I am asking for a meeting to discuss her interventions. Because she isn't getting what she needs.

Also ask to see her iep and ensure they stick to it. My son. Is AuHD and I have had a nightmare getting the right support for him in school x

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

Weaning

Hello mamas, could I get some advice please with how and what to wean as started this week with my baby but not really what to give and when what time day. Have started with puree vegetables and making them myself and offering it in the evening to my baby but she tends to get irritated and tired and has a few spoonfulls and then gives up and has a meltdown. So I’m questioning myself am I feeding her wrong time of day and what’s best to mix the food with milk or baby rice please.

Do I need to pay anything when my child starts school in September

I'm a new mum and obviously didn't grow up in the uk. I currently pay roughly £640 for nursery fees. I'm wondering if my expenses will reduce when my LO starts school or there'll be other expenses (besides bags, uniform etc) will my expenses be anywhere close to £600 monthly?
