Here I go again lol. I’m switching over from purées with my 9 month old. I’m such a coward when it comes to solids with my baby. Was like this with my first. He just doesn’t seem into solids yet but will house the purées. Guess just keep at it. Idk why I’m so nervous about this lol

Have you started with softer foods firsts and then moved up? I started my baby with oatmeal, and then moved to pancakes and eggs, until he got used to it. Then moved to toast, etc

Start with oatmeal and yogurt - and start giving solids but cook them so they are super super soft so your baby can at least start exploring with picking up things on their own and self
Feeding - exploring different textures, etc . You can steam carrots , broccoli , etc that’s what I did with my son

I feel the same way! My son also wasn’t super interested in solids to begin with but we are now working with him in speech and occupational therapy because he gags on every thing even purées and they found out he still has a very strong tongue thrust reflex and rooting reflex which is making him not able to efficiently eat solids and move his tongue like he should. I’ve been a nervous wreck this time around! I wasn’t like this with my first though. ☹️

I'm very nervous to give my baby straight solid I puree his food in a thick almost solid texter and I do give him solid fruit and cookis he does very well
