My nov ‘21 baby recently moved to a toddler bed and now doesn’t sleep almost at all 😭. It takes him at least 40 minutes of us sitting with him in his room before he falls asleep and he wakes up every couple hours and doesn’t go back to sleep until we sit in there for at least 40 minutes again. We are becoming miserable and sleep deprived. How can we sleep train him again with him being able to get out of his bed so easily? He bangs on his door and screams all night. We have tried to let him figure it out on his own and he will cry for as long as we leave him and not self soothe. What do we do?!

My son just moved to a floor mattress and we went through the same thing. It took a couple weeks but making sure he was really tired helped. Honestly I kept him up an extra hour or two at night and played hard. Any time I heard him start to wake up in the night I rushed into him room and got him back into bed as fast as I could so he didn't wake too much which shortened those times. And I'll be honest it was a total accident but I opened his door the one night at the same time he got to it and I scared the hell out of him -completely on accident!- but he doesn't get out of his bed now if he wakes so he ends up falling asleep on his own after a minute. Again I didn't try to do this one and I felt bad but it surprisingly helped and I can't stop giggling about his reaction 😂😬
