I’ve been on blood thinning injections since 16weeks, they told me I was at a high risk of clotting because of my weight and other medical reasons. I’ve not had any problems with mine although they have said that they wouldn’t recommend a c-section x

Ok I had them after my last baby just not during pregnancy xx

I went in breathless and they did all the checks and tests had scans on my legs all seemed fine … but they have said too start them at 28 weeks xxx

I had a blood clot to my lung when I was in my late 20’s and was told I would be on them if I was ever pregnant. I’m now pregnant with my third baby and have been on them since I found out I was pregnant. Haematologist has just told me to take my last injection day before I get induced (if I do get induced) and then once bubs here to carry on with them for 6wks postpartum

Ohh wow !! Hope all is ok now :) they also said if I get covid I might need injections too … had covid twice before but never when I was pregnant xxx

I’ve got to go on blood thinners at 28 weeks due to weight, age and family history.

@Sars did the injections keep you clot free during pregnancy? X

well I haven’t had any clots since. The haematologist has said we can’t guarantee that a clot won’t occur, but it obviously helps alot. Your chances of getting a clot while pregnant increase, and because I’ve already had one, my chances apparently increase even more x
