Colostrum collecting

I've read that you should only hand express from 36 weeks. But if you know you're having baby early (planned c section for example), the midwife might advise doing it earlier.

Wait until 36 weeks unless told by your midwife to do it any earlier as it can bring on early labour. I don’t think they suggest using a pump as it’s really sticky and it’s better to hand express xx

No, you need to wait until you're 36 weeks unless told otherwise :) plus you're advised to hand express only xx

No because the majority of it will get stuck in the pump, its small thick amounts, better to hand express into a small sterilised cup/spoon and then put in syringe
