So he’s not seen his son since may. I don’t want him in my house ever again so I suggested a contact center and he’s saying this… is he right or can he pay for a contact center without going to court? I’m thinking since his mum is gonna come too I will maybe say they can both come in my house since she will be there . I just don’t want him in my house when it’s me and him only. Would that get used against me in court if I let him and his mum in but say he’s not welcome if it’s just him in future ?

I don't belive contact centres have to be done through court but u or him would have to pay for it (unsure whose responsibility that is) I would not suggest letting them in your house, how much time were u going to allow them to see the child? Maybe u could go somewhere local, like a cafe or soft play or park or something like that?

My sons dad sees him in a contact centre and this was arranged through mediation and not court. Message me if you want x
see we did mediation but he hasn’t continued with it. He lives in London and I’m in Scotland so it’s a long distance. I have no issue with his mum she is lovely it’s just him but I thought it would be best to let them come into mine as I know they will suggest they take the baby to the hotel without me. I was gonna say a few hours. He just always gets annoyed as it’s never long enough for him but he has barely visited my son all year

I would agree with Alana, I wouldn’t let them visit in the house. As if he’s taking you to court he will use that and court will have the expectation that it could continue even with you saying you aren’t 100% comfortable with it. I would suggest somewhere in the community.
Contact centres can be done privately doesn’t need to be court, not sure how it works outwith court but it was a 50/50 split Between me and my ex for the centre we used. Legal aid would cover your share if you were eligible.

I looked into a contact centre because my BD used to come round and go through my bedroom etc, follow me round the house rather than spending any time with our child. It doesn't have to be done through the court I was told he will need to pay, I offered to pay half but he refused to see her that way so I was meeting him in the library but he soon stopped that and hasn't bothered now in 9 months.
