Has anyone been told they are high risk for pre eclampsia?

Yes they told me at my first midwife

No, they’ve just told me I’ll need more scans.

I feel really worried as it seems like it can be quite serious if you get it?

I am because my mum had it, I've been on 150mg of asprin since my 12 week scan x

Oh they asked me to take asprin in low doses to avoid getting preeclampsia from week 12.. can you speak to your midwife about it. I think a lot of things factor into it and few of the people I spoke with have given the warning of preeclampsia

I was put on Asprin at about 15 weeks at my appointment with my obstetrician but that was low dose and was more of a preventative factor. If they don’t give you Asprin by 17 weeks it’s unlikely they will put you on it now as those are the NICE Guidelines. Try not to stress too much hun I know it can be very scary thought but they are going to monitor you and baby and it’s not guaranteed you will get pre eclampsia. Just make sure your aware of what to look out for and take it easy 🤗

don’t put too much thought in to it.. I lost countless nights of sleep just reading up on it! It’s definitely scary but it’s a rare occurrence

Thank you so much for your message, Hannah. Mine was from a blood flow marker. It’s just all really scary and they told me 1 in 5. I prefer the 5-7% statistics!
