Can anyone advise the best way to stop breastfeeding without getting blocked ducts, mastitis etc? I just can't keep going with it any longer but I'm worried as I do have a good supply, just cannot sort out the latch and my mental health is nosediving.

I weaned slowly, dropping feeds to reduce production (I was 8 months in though) you could maybe switch to pumping? That's what I'm doing with my second and I find it much easier

Are you stopping to express or formula ?

I'd imagine night weaning may be best as this is when milk production is at its highest and if baby keeps feeding through the night it may encourage good supply....if it were me I'd start there ....a formula feed before bed. I would then hand express at this time or when uncomfortable... just enough to make you feel more comfy. Then drop another feed 3-4 days later and continue to do this until you have fully stopped.
I have no personal experience but this is how I would do it personally.
