I'm looking for any advice and tips on how to help baby sleep in their own room, my LG is 4 months old and from birth she has slept in her mosses basket/co sleeping in my bed recently she's just been co sleeping as she's outgrown her mosses basket, during the day I have been putting her in her cot in her room and she's managed to sleep for around 30mins at a time however at night she won't last long and after attempts to help comfort her she still wakes and comes in to bed with me. How can i get her to sleep longer in her cot?

I just went through this. A heating pad is your best friend. She went from co-sleeping to sleeping in a bassinet, then from a bassinet to her own crib in her own room. I basically would warm up the spot where I would lay her while I would give her a bath, massage her with lotion from head to toes, and feed her. Make sure she has a clean nappy halfway through feeding. Then, when she was passed out to the point where I could cough and she wouldn't startle. Turn off the heating pad and remove it from the sleeping area to avoid the dangers of the cord and then lay her down.
@Patricia thank you that sounds like such a good I idea i try and make the room cozy but never thought of that I'm going to give it a go.
