New born not nursing properly

My LG randomly stopped nursing early hours of this morning. She’s only 2 weeks old and we’ve never had this issue before.

She was refusing both boobs around 1am. Eventually finally got her to latch on and she fed but for no more than a few minutes. She had previously woken up at 23:45 so she was crying the whole time. I expected her to feed for a lot longer considering she woke up at near enough 12 and didn’t nurse until after 1am

She eventually went down to sleep and woke up at 4:30. The same thing happened again she was screaming refusing both boobs. I changed her. She did an explosion so I changed her again. Still wouldn’t feed. I took her sleep suit off and left her in her vest because she was getting hot n flustered.

I did have a coffee around 9pm to prepare me for the night feed which I’ve not had since pre-pregnancy so I’m not sure if it’s a reaction to the coffee I honestly don’t know what to do or what’s going on with her.

It's unlikely your coffee. Hate to say it but it's normal newborn behaviour

Try Colic ..

Luckily she fed as normal this morning. She was a bit sick which she never is. I’m definitely worried somethings wrong but I’m glad she fed a decent amount

highly doubt it’s colic. She’s 2 weeks old and it was just 1 night. She was crying so much because she was hungry but was refusing my breast which is understandable

Maybe you’re too full for a latch? My lo been up at night just staring lol and cluster feeding as well he’s 2 weeks 5 days old and I’ve been dealing with this since Tuesday🙂

usually if I’m too full she’ll just bounce off and struggle to latch but last night she was just screaming refusing to take any notice of the boob. I did nipple to nose and nothing. I put it in her mouth n she was still just screaming and crying.

I hope they don’t keep this up for much longer. Fingers crossed for us both 🥲🤞🏽

My LO every feed. Drs don’t seem to think it’s a problem the whole Muslim cloth gets soaked so much I’m using towels now. I’ve tried size O teats he gets really frustrated and still spills it out :(

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡
