Hi mummies
My Little girl is 5 months old she rolled over three times then she stopped. I am worried about her development.
Usually she doesn’t like tummy time but I lay down with her and we do almost 15 minutes twice a day
Is that normal not to roll over until now?

My baby did this. She was rolling to the side frequently and then just stopped. I asked some of the mums in our baby groups and they said theirs did it too. Apparently they stop rolling sometimes when they are learning a new skill as they can’t always do two at once. She’s now blowing bubbles so that’s what it replaced 🤣x x

It is normal not to roll at 5 months. My girl wasn’t interested in rolling at all, she rolled front to back twice at 3.5 months and once again two weeks after that, nothing since. Last week I’ve noticed she was trying and trying, and rolled over from back to front three days ago, now I can’t put her down on her back as all she does is rolling.🙈😂 She never liked to be on her tummy too, but she’s got to like it now, I think she realised she can look around better on her tummy vs on her back. I did encourage rolling a lot though, we played a lot on our bed (as she loves it), and I was rolling her back and forth for fun. Not sure if that helped, but I think it did. Also, some babies skip rolling all together! As long as your little one develops in other areas, that is ok. Most babies wouldn’t crawl for example.🤷🏻♀️

Mine did the same 2 weeks later he won’t stop doing it give it a bit longer xx

My 5 month old son doesn’t roll. Recently he gets onto his side in his next to me crib but because it’s too small he can’t actually roll fully but as soon as I put him on the floor he won’t even attempt it so I’m not sure why he does in his crib 😂😂

A mother at music class said her LG did the same and at 7 months started again and did it perfectly from to back and back to front …

My baby only rolls back to front in the night, and then cries because he can't roll back. He doesn't do it during the day unless I slowly guide him to roll. Don't worry, they all do things at their own pace x

My LO is 5 months and isnt rolling yst she does sleep on her side in her next to me , the only time when she decide s she wants to practice rolling is when she is in the bath 🙃🙃 obv this has me on pins so bath time is now a full on wrestling match hahaha xx

Mine rolled over three times at 4 months then he stopped. He started rolling over more the past week but it’s not everyday. I wouldn’t worry about it, all babies are different and they’ll go at their own pace. Mine is on the chunkier side, so he probably has to work harder to roll 😃

Similar happened to me, my son rolled from front to back at 3months, did it for about 2 weeks then stopped. He then learnt to roll from back to front instead which he continues to do. Now he’s almost 5 months and still never rolled front to back again! HV said he might have scared himself originally and will just do it again when ready 😊
