So my partner works 4 12 hour shifts in a row so I’m on my own quite a lot so when he’s off it’s nice to get the help. So I thought today as he’s off I would make him a nice Sunday dinner as I don’t get the time to do it very often. Me thinking I wouldn’t have to worry about my little one as her dads home! But he’s sat on his xbox(which he doesn’t do very often) I usually don’t mind as it’s his way of chilling out but I have had my little one at my feet the whole time. She’s been up and down and he’s sitting there doing nothing. He says to leave her in the livingroom with him but she will just be ignored. I then asked him to put her down for a nap before her tea but instead I have had to turn the oven off while I now put her down for a nap. Half an hour after me asking him to do it. I don’t know what I’m trying to get out of this post I just needed a rant 😂 Thankyou for listening to my ted talk😅

How old is little one?

Next time don’t turn the oven off turn the Xbox off x

I feel this in my soul. It's frustrating when your SO doesn't see what you're trying to do for them and either ignores your need for help or doesn't help the way you need.

Honestly I would’ve just left her with him in the living room and made him figure it out. But I 100% feel you.

My partner does this, but with his phone rather than Xbox. He only really plays of a night time when the baby is in bed. But I relate to this so much. 😭 x

I’d hide his controller lol 😂

Haha wow this is the second post I see about men caring more about their games than their family. I bet he would be frustrated if you said anything because he works so hard and wants to take some time to play but still we would want them to spend that time with us, unfortunately that’s not what makes them relax
