Expressed milk question

My baby is breastfed but I have started to express my milk with the intention of my partner giving baby bottles of my milk.
I’ve been told milk collected at night needs to be given at night and the same for the morning.
Is there any reason for this?
Is it the end of the world if on the odd occasion this doesn’t happen?

I read it’s the fat/sugar content and the calories in the milk that change throughout the day (ie more fat at night to keep them asleep longer) but to be honest I express at different times of the day and mix them in the same container. So whatever I have from that day whether I expressed it at 8am or 8pm goes in the same bottle and it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference for my baby.

It’s to do with night milk having more sleepy stuff than morning milk, however I exclusively pump and combine my milk into larger containers for storage and there is absolutely no issue with my little guy and he was prem so the rules are a bit more strict!

Interesting, I didn't know of this fact/suggestion. I also mix mine that I store.
May I ask...when your partner feeds with bottle, do you pump at the same time to keep up supply? If so, is the point just that your partner bonds with baby?
A few times I've had someone else feed the baby at night so I could "rest" but it hardly worked because I still had to pump to avoid engorgement close to the time anyway.
I'm just trying to understand if I'm missing something.

I didnt know this untill my baby was around 5 weeks old, told the HV he was waking loads at night and she asked if I was giving night milk at night....I wasn't. I then swapped and it made such a difference in how long he was sleeping between feeds xx

hi Sophia so not always. Now my milk supply is fully established (10 weeks) I don’t get the engorgement or rock hard boobs that I used to 😅 previously as soon as I hit the 2 hour mark since a feed I would feel it. That’s no longer the case thankfully.
For example I planned to pump late this evening but was too tired and I’ve just fed my boy and it was fine. Generally I aim to pump during when I would feed him as this is best practice but I’m not going crazy with it as if defeats the purpose of a rest.
I should also add I’ve got the MomCozy 12 pro so for me if goes in my bra I don’t have to sit about and wait, I got about my business and 15 minutes later just pop it in a bottle or freezer bag.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡
