@Andi yuck lol đ
@Marina I donât know whatâs in it lol, but it was this thick nasty chalky stuff they had me drink. It coated my throat and numbed it, and all the pain was gone within minutes. The pain never did come back before I had my surgery the next morning.
@Andi whats that!?
@Marina and if you can get a gi cocktail that shits magical
@Marina good luck!!! Itâs so routine for them, and my recovery wasnât bad. I had a ten pound weight limit for 6 weeks but I could lift my 9 pound baby. That might be more challenging with a toddler. But after about the first week I was feeling pretty good, and I had no more attacks. I still have bathroom issues because I have no gallbladder but it is what it is, the actual surgery wasnât fun but it wasnât awfulârecovery was easier to deal with then the attacks. I hope you feel better soon!
@Andi girl im at the er now. I puked. They gave me nausea meds and pain meds. And said we will bring you food. If you puke youre getting admitted and its cominf out tomorrow. If not wait until the 4th
I had mine out last September. I went to the er at night and they did the surgery the next morning. They let my husband and baby stay with me at the hospital and I could have gone home that day but I asked and was allowed to stay another night bc I knew as soon as I went home my husband would go back to work and I'd have to take care of the baby myself and I wasn't up to it yet. I'm glad I stayed the extra night bc I felt so much better the next day. đ
@Marina I did! I had my surgery first thing in the morning and went home around 8pm. I could have stayed the night but I was so emotional, my son was still a newborn and I wanted him.
@Marina no, my husband was able to stay with me!
@Whitney were you alone?
@Marina I had to stay the night but my surgery took longer than expected and I needed a few rounds of antibiotics in my iv over the course of the night. But I got to go home around 10 the next day
@Andi did you go home the same day!?
@Whitney did you go hoke that night
Yeah last September when my son was 2 months old. I didnât go to a hospital though so they wanted to transport me via ambulance. I didnât to pay for that so my dad drove me. I was admitted about 1am and had surgery at 7:30 or 8 am. I wasnât in pain that whole time though, they gave me a gi cocktail and I felt totally fine after that. If itâs that bad I would definitely just go to the er!! I was having pain for 6 weeks and they told me it was post pain partum gas.

I went to the er on October 24th and had mine removed all night! I was in so much pain I couldnât wait until my scheduled surgery. If you are starting to vomit and canât get comfortable cause of the pain I would go to the er! I went in the morning and they had to do an ultrasound and talk to my surgeon but I was in surgery by 5!

Does anyone else notice that we have gallbladder problems after we deliver our babies? I had mine removed when my son was like 2months old. I was vomiting and my husband would find me in the rr in the middle of the night balled up on the floor in pain. I even collapsed walking into the er. I eventually had my gallbladder removed and went home the next day and then traveled to my mil the day after. Easy surgery, no pain
