Medela freestyle or elvie stride?

This will be my second time pumping. I had the Elvie wearable pump with my first and at first I loved it but after about 6 months I no longer could get the suction to work properly even with the technical support and buying new parts. I was a little disappointed because of the price point but I also felt like it was a little heavy and bulky as well as possibly not getting great output most likely due to the not super strong suction. I ended up switching to just a manual pump which I actually really liked. I could get a lot of milk out really quickly but I had to do it in private which was hard at work sometimes. Anyway I am considering going with another hands free but torn between the medela freestyle which I hear everyone rave about vs the Elvie stride plus which I’ve seen great reviews about also but just a little gunshot after my experience with my Elvie. Curious if anyone has experience with both or one?

Also as a side note I do have another pump that is like a wall plug-in one I believe it’s hospital grade that was gifted to me that I can use while my supply is getting adjusted. I figure it might be good to use anyway because I’m a bit of an over-supplier in the beginning. I just figure my insurance will pay for a new one so I’d like to have some options.

I don't like the elvie cause the suction power isn't that strong in my option I use momcozy and I love it. Plus it has a duel function mode that drains the shit outta me

I don’t like the Elvie Stride but it’s the only wearable I’ve tried so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I’m on a Facebook group of Elvie Stride users and I’ve seen a lot of people saying they prefer the Momcozy

I just bought the medela swing maxi, the free style reviews I looked at said it has a tendency to die after 6 months. I bought the wearable cups to go with it. I haven't used it yet but had really good luck with medela with our first. I turned it on and the suction seems to be good and had better reviews than the freestyle, but it doesn't track pumping amounts.

I loved my mom cozy wearable pump. It's bulkier than the elvie but it had great suction and my milk output was the same as with my hospital grade. I bought a second hand willow pump for after this 2nd baby is born so I haven't tried it yet but I'm pretty excited about it. I've heard more people liking the willow over the elvie

Darn the momcozy one I’ve seen a ton too but it’s not covered on my insurance. I mean it’s not that expensive I just was trying to use some of my insurance towards one. :/

The lansinoh wearable one and willow are on there but I don’t see momcozy. I’ll have to do a little more research to see if I can get them to cover it. I love my lansinoh manual pump haha

I know I’m 7 months late on this thread but it came up when I googled about the elvie and medela, which mom cozy is it you all use?

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
