Hey,
The last couple of weeks we have been potty training my 3 year old. We got her a pink toilet potty which she absolutely loves. We did a few days of bare bottom, then we introduced loose trousers (commando). The only time she wears a nappy is at night time as she’s not fully dry at night. Apart from that, she has little to no accidents during the day. However, she is returning back to nursery next week so I would like to introduce some knickers. I am worried she may start weeing in her knickers if I introduce knickers. Does anyone have any tips please? It would be much appreciated x

👋☺ Hi .
Heres a helpful video for you that explains this progression and will help answer any questions about the timing, steps & stages of transitioning from:
1. diaper/nappy
2. bare bum
3. commando
4. underwear
5. pants/clothing

In my 4 decades of potty training experience I've learned: the transition phase between diapers/nappies or bare bum to wearing pants & underwear can be a tricky step for most toddlers.
At first the feel of cotton underpants will almost always trigger potty accidents. Especially if it's the thicker "training pants".
Undees feel snug & absorbent like the comfy diapers your little cutie is used to eliminating in and didn't have to think about it and could pee/poo freely at any time. It feels snug and enclosed like a familiar comfy diaper - its a safety net.
