This was my first c section and honestly i’ve felt great. I’ll be 2 weeks postpartum on friday and even the day of the surgery once the epidural wore off i was walking around and doing everything normally. I know it’s still so early but I’ve been putting medicine on that the drs gave me and i don’t even feel like i went through surgery 12 days ago. My question is since i have 6 weeks of not being able to go outside so i can rest, do you all think i can start doing light at home exercises? Ex. Squats, Abs, Jumping jacks, Lunges, etc. (i’m going to ask my dr for clearance, i’m not asking you all for clearance i’m asking for your opinion)

You can 100% go outside. Walking around and getting out. At parks or stores can be good for your mental health but also for recovery. I wouldn’t do any working out except walking until 6 weeks. Your insides are still recovering and working out could slow down that recovery and could cause more bleeding and more harm then good

Who told you 6 weeks indoors?
I was out walking from date of discharge, shopping and doing normal things.
It’s 6 weeks till fully healed internally and externally but it’s not a rule to stay indoors.
Movement is key to healing, go enjoy a walk x

Be careful what you do for abs. You can find some post c-section core activation exercises and start there! I did too much too soon and I wish I hadn’t! Also jumping is something I couldn’t really do until about 12 weeks postpartum

Definitely go on walks if you can! The more active you are(—nothing crazy,)the better!
