Please help me. I have £77.12 to feed my family until the end of February!! I need all the cheap meal ideas I can get
We do have some food bits in our freezer, these are mainly meats that need defrosting, but definitely not enough to last us.
Any ideas?
It’s 2 adults and 1 toddler who is turning 2 in February. We do have a milk allergy to deal with. And a baby who is starting purées, which I will make from scratch.
I don’t know if it would be better me going out tomorrow and buying what I need or to buy it as and when I need stuff? I haven’t got much money to deal with at the moment so I’m really worried about wasting it!!

Dhal goes a long way! 1 cup red lentils, onion, garlic, ground cumin, turmeric water and a stock cube, pennies to make and lasts us days, so sorry you’re having to deal with this xx

Hi, have you looked into food banks in your area?
Pasta, Homemade tomato sauce and cheese
Homemade chicken soup with bread (chicken thighs, carrots, onions, celery, stock cube)
Jacket potatos with cheese and beans / or tuna
Casseroles
Omelettes
Pasta bakes
Lentil bolognaise
Chickpea curries

Please do reach out if you can ❤️

I often do a stir fry, I use frozen vegetables. The stir fry sauce is around 50p in LIdl/aldi and the noodles are the same or i use rice instead. I sometimes add meat in other times i leave it vegetarian.
I make chilli con carne, you can keep this cheap and quick by using a jar sauce I think it's around 50p or 60p and I use frozen mince and serve with rice. This is one of my little ones favorite things to eat. We also do soup and bread which she loves. Chicken curry is cheap enough and goes a long way. We make chicken enchiladas using apple wood smoked vegan cheese as my little one also has a dairy allergy.
As people have shared you can reach out to local food banks who might be able to help to just ease some of the pressure on you until you get back on your feet
