Our LG is exactly the same! I have seen the kendamil porridge says 4-6 months so Iโm unsure wether to introduce this in a morning! I am scared too๐๐

Will be introducing Aptimal porridge at 17 weeks๐ฅฐ

My little boy does this. He turns 4 months next Saturday and I've already bought him the sainsbury's baby rice to try for breakfast. I'm so excited to see if he likes it.

baby porridge is better lovely as it contains vitamins & minerals. Baby rice has no nutritional value and just empty calories x

@Jasmine oh right... thanks. I'll buy some of that too x

no problem lovely. Obviously not telling you what to do or anything! Xx

My LB is 4 months and has done this for awhile we tried him on baby porridge for the first time yesterday and he loved it ate all of it xx

Omg, i will have to buy tomorrow and try to give him! ๐ Thank you ladies xx

Mine does this too but itโs too early
For her to start. Their digestive systems just arenโt ready for solids. Apparently itโs suggested that our generation is the generation of ibs and digestive issues linking back to being weaned too early.

Yes mine does too, its just curiosity and normal, doesn't mean they need the food just yet, they aren't quite ready. All 3 of mine have been like this from around 3.5 months

Oh, and one of the three things they need to be able to do to be ready for solids is sit up unaided.

As far as my HV says their gut tends to be mature enough for weaning not before 6 months, therefore get guidance....my LO has been very interested when we eat but that isn't necessarily indicative of readiness. Advertising from 4 months is technically ok but not really wise to encourage

My little boy loves watching, he even has started imitating chewing which is so funny. But he isn't ready yet. He can't sit. We will be waiting til 6 months.

Lmao yes my son watches us eat, heโll wake up from his nap when he smells food

You could always try the teething dummies where you pop some mushed up fruits etc inside for your little boy to taste some goodies rather than properly eat if youโre still anxious about doing that?
