When do you/have you stopped waking your baby for feeds? Our LO generally wakes for feeds, however if she goes over 3 hours between feeds we tend to wake her. She’s 7 weeks old, and was last weighed at 6 weeks where she was just shy of 11lb 2oz. Don’t want to be creating bad sleeping habits if she is able to go longer 🫣

My HV told me at our 6 week check up that as she’s back to weight I don’t need to worry about waking her for feeds anymore - she was underweight for 3 weeks due to problems latching from tongue tie so this felt weird at first but now goes 4 hours in the night between feeds - usually just over 3 still in the day

If baby is above their birth weight and gaining weight well then let them sleep ☺️ my LG was 6lb 12 born and is just shy of 11lb now and we don’t wake her xx
Oh baby girl is definitely above her birth weight. She was 7lb 7oz when she born

As soon as she was back at birth weight at 3 weeks old, she’s gaining really well and sometimes will go 6 hours at night, but most often it’s around 4.

so she never actually lost any! She was 6lb 12 born and then on her first weigh in 4 days later she was 6lb 13 and then gained every week after that at 7lb 13 week 3, week 4 9lb 3 and then 10lb at 5 weeks. She is 6 weeks old today xx

I honestly wouldn’t worry, he sounds perfectly healthy, they’re all so different 🫶🏼 but understand the worry - I was concerned she was gaining too quickly. We can’t win can we haha she is a little milk monster! xx

It took my baby 3 weeks to get back to birth weight too and then she started piling it on! 😊

I have been told if they are back at birth weight you don't have too. Mine is normally fed every 3 hours during the day he is 7 weeks today. I haven't woken for feeds for about 2 weeks (mainly because i was so tired I wasn't waking up to the alarms I set!) And he was fine and he will normally go 4 -5 hours at night now and he's still fine.

My pediatrician told us if she's sleeping 4-5 hours to let her. Breast fed babies don't get as hungry in the night as formula fed
