Is anyone planning to batch cook food to freeze? Or have you already?
Heard a few people say it’s really helpful postpartum and just looking for some suggestions!

I did with my first pregnancy and would again this time, but we’re living with my parents this time so I know they’ll take care of cooking 😂 but yeah with my first it was great, we barely cooked at all for like a month after he was born, just like boiled rice/pasta or did some fresh veg quickly to go with whatever main was already prepared

Bought a new chest freezer for it 😅 we've got chicken broth, chili, stroganoff, meatballs, oat banana pancakes, curry, chicken steaks, some of my traditional meals aswell. Also have frozen pitta bread, wraps, onion rings, hash browns, fruits for smoothies, vegetables

I didn't with my first pregnancy but I breastfed and had no time to cook as she was attached to me, what felt like 24/7. I've just been cooking from the pinch of nom recipe books and anything left over, I've been freezing.

I did loads of things last time like chilli, sausage/chorizo stews, pasta bakes. This time is trickier with a toddler as he will need to eat it too but I’ve managed to make big shepherds pie, lasagne and fish pies then portioned them up. I’m going to make some mash potato tomorrow to freeze and make easy meals with sausages/meatballs etc. They all froze well last time and it’s nice knowing my toddler will actually have some variety rather than live off fish fingers every day for 2/3 weeks whilst we are in survival mode😅

Highly recommend this as you nobody in the household will feel like standing over the stove or have the energy to even set a timer for food reminders 🙃

Yes, although I don't know that I got a great range of nutrients, I've made spaghetti bolognese (with the pasta cut up into pieces in case I need to eat with one hand), Chilli, tortilla soup and pulled pork with veggies. For brekkie and snacks I have breakfast burritos and egg bites. Can you tell I live in the states at the moment lol. I also have my padsicles in there in zip lock bags
