How much is your child talking my little boy hasn’t got many words in his vocabulary . He can say ; yes no , please , dummy , bot bot , mum , dad , nan etc the basics but they aren’t pronounced very well and he can’t put together words yet . My other child is 3 and she’s just been diagnosed with autism , should I be worried about him I know every child is diffrent but he does lack a lot of fine motor skills to .
He was born 5 weeks prematurely also

I wouldn't worry at this stage. It's still early days. My little ones don't put words together

My LB is 20 months next month and we’ve got mum, dad, tah, nan and I think we’ve nearly got baby … don’t worry honestly I panicked to begin with but every little one grows at different rates and at different stages xx

I've got a 3 year old son who is on the autism referral list and a 21 month old. Ive have been worrying too, because my youngest is late in a lot of milestones, including speech. He copies lots of words and phases but doesn't say anything off his own back. I feel your worry because 1 in 68 becomes 1 in 5 when you already have 1 child with autism. I feel like I can't enjoy my baby because I'm just picking apart his every move. Sad really 😞

If you are concerned I would push for an early referral especially if you have history with your other child and if they won't are you able to do anything privately? Such as going to see child speech therapist?
