Fake tan and nails

Hi all, this seems like a really random thing to be thinking of in preparation of a C-section, however, I thought to make myself feel a bit nicer after my planned C-section, would I be able to get my nails done and have an upper body fake tan? Obviously not my stomach and legs!

The tan should be fine, but you cant even have nail polish during an operation! Toes as well.

I had nail varnish on my toes unless they took it off and I don't remember

And I've seen women with manicures have planned c-sections online may depend on your borough xx

I had full nails and tan before and after my section and nothing was said before that I had to remove

Tan yeah. Wouldn’t risk your nails though x

My hospital pre op appointment I was advised no tan and no nails which I was gutted about 😖 2 weeks post c section and got my nails booked for next week 😂 planning on doing a bit of tan once my scar is a bit more healed xx

I had a gel pedicure on for my c-section, they never said I couldn’t and they even complement on my toes when I was on the table 🤷🏼‍♀️ I guess it depends on the doctors/hospital.

I had short acrylic nails done before my c section and they didn’t say anything. Don’t blame you for wanting to do something to make yourself feel nice 🥰xx

I had an emergency section and had a full set of acrylics on they didn't even mention it to me not sure if it was because it was an emergency or not x

i had a planned(ish) section and had my nails lashes and tan done for it 😂

I had to remove my gels on my hands but was able to keep my toes painted still! Tan will also be fine

Tan and toes are fine the reason they want no hands is so they can see the colour of your fingers to check oxygen levels I think

It depends on the hospital! I had gel nails on and they just listed it on there information sheet thing before I went in and they didn’t have a problem with it but I’ve heard some hospitals are extremely strict and you just have to go in all natural xx

I had full on acrylics at my c section

You'll be fine to tan but don't forget about all the tape they use for your canula. You'll end up with white marks when they take it off. And if breast feeding don't tan your boobs!! 🫣
I had clear builder on nails, nothing on toes. Mainly because I couldn't reach. Ha ha (I'm a lash and nail tech so too fussy to let anyone else do them)

Xxxx

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

2nd pregnancy after c section

I’m not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but in the future possibly. I just wanted to know how is pregnancy after c section like my fear is having to go through another emergency operation or even putting strain on my incision during pregnancy

Baby Movements

Hello, I’m a FTM currently 18W5D pregnant. I’ve been getting this tugging feeling in my stomach after I eat, it’s uncomfortable but not painful. I don’t know whether that’s the baby moving or round ligaments pain.

I’ve also been getting round ligament pain which is either a sharp stabbing pain or a stretching sensation. These happens whether or not I’ve eaten while the tugging feeling is only after I’ve eaten.

So, could the tugging feeling be the baby or something else.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.
