Thinking about my baby being here, I already feel so annoyed with the fact I have to share her. Like I just want her all to myself and my husband. Thinking of having to let people hold her when she’s so tiny, makes me nervous and kind of mad. Has anyone else had these feelings?

Girlllll bye I don’t be having those feelings cause nobody holding my baby unless I allow it. And being that tiny with no immunizations nor an immune system built up oh no baby only me and my parents that’s it. If anybody wanna see my baby they can ft us that’s it 🤷🏽♀️ you better make your own rules and let people know what you will and will not allow

We had that convo with my in laws yesterday. We dont want anyone holding her for about a month. Im immunocompromised & im so worried shes gonna end up with my immune system. Lol. I agree with La’Quntis

Girl you better make your rules and let everyone know they won’t be passing that baby around like a hot potato. Their bodies can’t fight the germs that other people have. I already told my husband that no one will be holding my baby or passing him around.

heavy on the ft call

Omg yes it’s a daily thought. Like I want my family to love on her but at the same time she’s mine I held her for 9 long months and y’all just sat there while I suffered through it all. But yeah sure hold my baby 😭😂

Same tbh lol I feel so attached to her after months of growing her, like I feel the only people ‘entitled’ to hold her are her dad and I! We’re allowing visitors in the hospital before we’re discharged and then we’re having a couple weeks at home with no visits at all. Once we start letting visitors over we’ll be enforcing some boundaries, like ask for permission to hold baby, do not pass baby to anyone else without asking, and if we ask for baby back, *give her back* - no reason needed. I’m so happy our little girl is gonna be so loved but we’ve been attached for 9+ months, so tbh everyone else can wait lol

I have been feeling this since I started feeling little kicks but it has definitely gotten a lot worse since entering my third trimester. I expressed how I was feeling to my husband and thankfully he has been fully supportive so I don’t have to worry about his family (which wasn’t the real worry to begin with.) The only ones allowed to hold her will be mine and my husbands parents and still within reason as a newborn. Even after newborn stage people will respect boundaries as I am adjusting to being a mom. I wrote out a list of rules just so I don’t have to memorize and miss anything later on.

I feel this way and have for a long time throughout the pregnancy. I don’t want my in-laws holding him, deep down (that’s me being honest) but of course I have to and more…it’s not an option…it’s their grandchild. But I don’t want to share him at all
This is exactly how I feel! When I think of my in laws holding her, I literally start feeling so angry and mad. But of course, I will have to let them. It just makes me so angry knowing that they don’t care about me at all they literally just want to get their hands on “their grandbaby” (the only thing they refer to her as).

What makes you think you have to let anyone else hold her besides you and your husband? If you don’t want too, then don’t!!
