Could someone tell me if the date for my 16-18 week midwife appointment will arrive in the post or if I have to make it myself
Had my first nhs scan on 20/03 and I was 13 weeks. I’m not 15+3 and still not heard anything
Also did all the blood test and screenings at my first scan and they never got back to me so am I to assume everything is fine. I was told I should have a letter after 7 days but I also know they don’t rush themselves with anything

I had my 16 week appt booked when I went for my booking appt it's next week I'll be 17+1

my midwife literally just said to me we’d like to see you between 16-18 weeks and that was it. She never gave me a date or anything

If you have the NHS app it might be on there if not you have to call your GP to book the midwife appointment. I was told when my 16 week appointment was going to be at my booking appointment

@Ellie awww must be different in other areas maybe contact them and find out iv had mu 20 week scan come through the post today aswell

i would look on badger notes for your appointment !! had my 16 week at 16+1 but honestly just may have been my midwives availability xxx

I got an email xx

I literally got a phone call off my midwife saying be here at this time, no letter, only letters I get is from the hospital for scans

I’ve had my 20 week scan through the post as well already

My 16 week midwife appt was scheduled with my midwife when I went to see her for the first time. You might want to call your GP if you haven’t yet got a date for yours.
If you’ve done the 12 week scan and you haven’t heard from them via phone, you can relax, everything is fine and you’re not at risk. You should receive a letter via post within 2-3 weeks 😊. x

then the midwife at the hospital is telling people the wrong info 🤣 she told me I’d get a call within 2/3 days of the test and letter within 7 if it was all good 🤣

For the screening results it’s a call within 7 days if it’s high risk and a letter within 14 days if it’s low risk. If you don’t hear anything by letter or phone after 14 days call up your maternity unit and they should be able to tell you

not sure about that, each location/area might have different procedures and processes in place.
I was told if something was wrong after my screening & blood test I would receive a call within 5 days, if I didn’t hear from them, then that would mean everything is fine and I’d get a letter via post 2-3 weeks (which I did).

My 16 week appointment was booked at my first appointment she also sent of for my 12 week scan same time which I got in a text and then when I went for my 16 weeks appointment at 17+2 she booked me in for my phone call appointment 21 weeks but sent of for my scan I also got a letter in the post about my blood results and scan to tell me it was all fine

It's different in all areas I'm afraid so you'll have to contact the midwife team in your local area. What I experience in Cornwall might be very different to someone in another part of the country

Mine came in the post a few weeks ago! I’m 16+2 and my appointment is Tuesday xx

It either be on badger notes or your midwife will text you x

I had to call to book my 16 week appointment and then at that appointment she booked my 24 week one for me ☺️

Every trust is different and even midwives within the trust do it differently! When I was pregnant last year with my daughter my midwife booked that appointment at my booking appointment. This time around (different midwife) she said she would call within a week of my scan and book it. My scan is tomorrow.
