Now my baby has learnt to roll, every morning he wakes up at about 4am now with the sudden urge to roll onto his stomach to sleep. I sit and watch him try to do it, he can’t because his gro bag restricts him, but he wants to go back to sleep on his tummy.
So I have to get him out his next to me and get him to sleep on my chest. Meaning I don’t get any sleep from 4am every morning now.
How can we prevent him from waking and wanting to roll to go back to sleep?! I don’t want anything bad to happen if he was to roll over and sleep on his tummy!
Photo of how far he can get, only on his side but still worries me, even watching him!

Could you put him nearer the edge so there’s no room for a full roll?

he can’t do a full roll, only onto his side like in the photo, if I put him closer to the side I’m scared he will suffocate on the side if he tries to roll😭

My 18 week old has been rolling on his side to sleep for about 6 weeks. HV said as long as I put him on his back to start if he's able to and prefers to roll to his side I can let him stay that way. I am scared for when he learns to roll the whole way!
