My toddler is 2.5 years old, he sleeps about 11 hours total in 24 hrs but recommended is 12-13 hours, anyone else can relate? How do I get him to sleep more? His nap is 2.5 hours sometimes 3, would shortening it help?

My son does the same thing! I can never get him to sleep the recommended hours. I’ve tried shortening his naps and I feel like it made it worse in my opinion.
😭😭 I guess 11hrs is good enough 😂😂😂

That’s sounds right 11 hours at night then a 1.5-3 hour nap is what is expected….nap window is usually 5-5 and half hour from when they wake.

We struggle with the same thing, 11 total hours is on the lower side, but in the normal range. Your kid may just have lower sleep needs if they don't seem overtired. We've tried experimenting with timing and length of bedtime, naptime, mealtimes, sleepwear, bedding, white noise, etc. No luck...

I have heard you shouldn't let them nap linger than 2 hours, so maybe try that? It works for mine, but I wouldn't say she was the world's worst sleeper
