Really struggling with potty training

All her friends but my little one are now potty trained. We have tried but feels like as she is so stubborn she is refusing as she doesn't want to.

We have tried rewards, potty books, goinf with nothing on her bottom half, wearing pants she's picked and nothing is working

Feeling like a complete failure as all her friends are potty trained and quickly and she is just point blank refusing.

Any help or advice would be great

Mine is also refusing. Kids develop at their own pace, I have decided not to force her until she shows signs she is ready.

Don’t put pressure on yourself. When she is ready she will do it. I just started yesterday after failed attempts before but have waited months in between and they are ready

I’m in the same position. Mine just holds it until he’s got a nappy on or just can’t hold any longer.

We tried last September which was a nightmare, started again in May and it was much easier. I recommend the "oh cr*p potty training" book if you haven't read it. We did it this time and I really recommend it. Also, you aren't a failure it is really hard, and it might just be the people you know as I think a lot of September babies still aren't potty trained yet. Just a lot of people like to do it in the summer.

I have a late august baby, and she isn't potty trained, we have tried a few times, but she didn't even notice when she was wet just carried on. I thought as her friends at nursery aren't in nappies it might encourage her but nope.
Nursery suggest the pullup method but I'm not sure that will work, as she's in pullups now

My daughter refused to even sit on the potty all the previous times we tried, we've tried quite a few times, but it didn't work.. We've been potty training again for the past 3 days and she seems to be finally getting it. I still need to ask her to go every time (apart from one time where she went by herself), but we've only had 1 accident in the 3 days we've been potty training. I thought it would take us ages, as she's really stubborn, but I think we've finally cracked it 😊😊

Have you stayed at home consistently for a few days at the start of training? Or have you been doing it on the go? We found we had to stay at home almost a whole week for our LG to get it. It felt like a lot but it worked for her and it was just a week in the grand scheme of things.

no, we have been on short outings(like to the local shops about 10 minutes walk away) and she's been perfectly fine. I just make sure she uses the potty before going and when we get back home 😊

don’t put pressure on yourself your little one will do it when she’s ready.
My little girl started telling me when she had a wee or a poo and she’s been amazing we stayed in for days till she got the hang of her pulling her pants down and now she does it without telling us.
Don’t worry she’ll do it when she’s ready x

I’ve been potty training since January and he has had lots of regressions I’m pulling my hair out as I can’t go backwards! It’s very frustrating but I wish I had waited as I don’t think he was ready even though he showed some signs

We just do knickers and a top when we’re at home and ask her every 20 mins if she needs to go but she does shout “mam I’m weeing” and manages to hold it in until we get to the toilet but we’re still in nappies bedtime, nursery and out. She doesn’t need to be out of nappies until school in January so going to get her done through the summer holidays

I decided to take a week off and stayed at home for 5 days..had my little one naked from the waist down with the potty always in view..I bought a peppa pig potty training sticker chart which has worked a treat. Once she knew she has getting a sticker each time she sat on potty, she wanted to do it! We have had a few accidents but she's got the hang of it almost fully now by the end of week 3..A travel potty is a good idea when out and about. Also making a game out of it like 'let's have a race to see who can go to toilet first!' - have them sitting on the potty and you on the toilet at same time.. Anything to make it a little bit fun. She will definitely go when she's ready though so try not to put pressure..both of my best friends little ones were 3.5 when they were trained and they are 10 years old now and absolutely fine! Good luck with it all x

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

Weaning

Hello mamas, could I get some advice please with how and what to wean as started this week with my baby but not really what to give and when what time day. Have started with puree vegetables and making them myself and offering it in the evening to my baby but she tends to get irritated and tired and has a few spoonfulls and then gives up and has a meltdown. So I’m questioning myself am I feeding her wrong time of day and what’s best to mix the food with milk or baby rice please.

Do I need to pay anything when my child starts school in September

I'm a new mum and obviously didn't grow up in the uk. I currently pay roughly £640 for nursery fees. I'm wondering if my expenses will reduce when my LO starts school or there'll be other expenses (besides bags, uniform etc) will my expenses be anywhere close to £600 monthly?

Primary Caretaker Resentment

I am the primary caretaker for my daughter, my partner and I live together & are engaged but I knew it would be this way as he works long hours. I’m struggling with not feeling resentment towards him when I’m responsible for 90% of stuff.

I adjusted my hours so one of us could be home with her some of the time (previously we both worked full time, I’m now part time), I do 5/7 bedtime routines a week, I feed her every meal & I plan her meals. Even though he knows what she eats, he always insists on asking me what to buy, he says it’s because I’m home so it’s what I’m happy to make but he knows it annoys me, he knows how long stuff takes to make, I just ask for quicker meals on the days I wfh.

He also shows no interest in her birthday, her first easter. etc. He says I’m the better planner but I told him it doesn’t come naturally to me & I wish he would show some interest in her first holidays.

I feel like I think about our daughter 24/7 & he thinks about her maybe one day as week.

For context: He works 9am - 11pm roughly Wed-Sun. My Mum has her on a Monday & I am off Tuesday afternoon so he only has her alone Tuesday morning.

He can be very helpful & clean the kitchen or sterilise bottles after work but we have gone through phases where he grumbles about this.

He’s always thinking of things to help me but they hardly ever involve him taking actions, I’m relying on my family a lot which is hard for me.

I feel as though it would barely be different if I was a single mother but I don’t know what I expect him to do given his working hours, it’s just hard to not get annoyed.
