Man I'm am feeling it lately. I just want to cry. At random times. I am chaulk full of anxiety! I keep breaking out in hives. I know I'm stressed about money and life things but it's never effected me this badly. I just want to be the small spoon, with a fluffy blanket and nice pillow. I want to sleep more times than not. My husband offered me a day to do stuff without the baby and my first thought was take care of the car and drive somewhere and nap! So he wouldn't judge I was sleeping. Lol. Anyone else going through these emotions?

I’m right there with ya. Post partum hitting me in ways i never imagined. Mornings are the worst, I have chest pains and as soon as I hear my baby girl cry it instantly hits me like a ton of bricks. I’ve never been a medicine person but friends and family are noticing I’m not myself and need some help.

I was having a rough time too - I finally talked to my OB and she put me on Zoloft and honestly it's made a HUGE difference. Postpartum depression is really common - definitely don't feel bad about reaching out and getting some help!

I always thought for some reason I wouldn’t have postpartum depression or anxiety because I’ve never really had that before. But since about 3 weeks pp, I noticed that I can hardly feed my baby without passing him to dad because every time we stop to burp he cries and I get super anxious.
I also sleep through everything. I don’t wake up when he cries. So my husband has literally done everything for the past month because I just don’t wake up. I also never feel rested even though I sleep through everything… My doctor told me that it’s definitely postpartum depression and I have an appointment to get on medicine, but it’s a couple weeks out.
I feel so guilty for how postpartum is affecting me, and I feel like I have zero control over it.
are you breastfeeding?

i just spoke to my OB and she offered to prescribe Zoloft. I’m going to pick it up today. She said she feels it’ll really help me, and at this point I’m pretty much open to getting better so I can enjoy these times with my little one. How long did it take to kick in? Did you notice and side effects? First timer here for prescription meds, so any insight/feedback is welcomed.

@ incognito I'm not breastfeeding anymore, but my understanding is that Zoloft is safe with breastfeeding too (definitely check with your doctor though!).

this is my first time with meds too and I was nervous to start but fortunately the side effects were pretty mild for me. I've noticed my sex drive is a little lower but nothing else really. It took about a week to kick in. I really hope it helps for you too ❤️
I will thank you. I'll do some research on the drug too. I always look into clinical trials for things when taking something new. I even looked into one about alcohol and breastfeeding. I learned some interesting things with the power of Google. It helped ease my mind for even my LO taking tylenol. 🙃

Thanks ladies! I’ll let you know how it goes. Appreciate all the support

You’re not alone mama. I also have waves of horrible of anxiety and depression. Would anyone be interested in starting a group chat? Maybe it’ll help us with the PPD/PPA
