Anyone else is really really paranoid and worried about baby starting nursery? I have watched and read so many horrible stories and events that I’m terrified someone or something at the nursery will cause harm to baby. I know that’s not the case as they are brilliant nursery but I can’t help but having crazy thoughts like that in my head which makes me very anxious sending her in 😔

I feel exactly the same ! My little one is going 5 full days and I’m very anxious about it for similar reasons x

Totally normal to feel anxious! But as you say, you only hear about the horrible stories, because the good nurseries and millions of children that go and have brilliant days, are kept safe etc don’t make for good headlines. It’s only natural to worry, you’re leaving your most special and beloved little one in someone else’s care. You’ve done what you can to pick a nursery that you love and that feels like a good fit, stay vigilant, communicate with the setting if you have any doubts or worries, and it will be okay. Once little one settles in, and you get started in your new routine it will feel a bit better. And when you start seeing photos of what they’ve been up to etc. and before you know it when they start talking and can tell you all about their day, you’ll hopefully feel as reassured as you can be!

I'm anxious as I don't want to be away from him. I know it will do him the world of good but 5 full days is going to kill me and I don't want it to ruin the bound we've created

i feel the exact same, my little boy starts his settling in sessions next week, and i'm so nervous and worried. he's going 1 half day and 1 full day, i know he will thrive but it's still super scary☹️
he'll probably adjust so much quicker than me😅
