Am I overreacting by asking my husband to leave? We've been struggling for a while, I've been diagnosed with PND and have been on antidepressants for now approx a month, noticing really differences in myself and would say they're working. My husband and I have had an argument of sorts tonight, one of those where you don't actually shout because we were in front of our 2 year old, but still bickering. He called me a bully. He has issues with handling his emotions, he suppresses them until they build up and he says something like this. He bobbed down between putting our son to bed to apologise, but it was a matter of fact, no true emotional apology. Tonight I told him we needed a break and asked him to leave the house for a couple of days. He's away for the weekend anyway, giving us until Sunday night at least. Should I have gone and left him here with little boy until he goes away? Am I in the wrong for asking him for a break? I just want him to learn to manage his emotions, as I can't keep doing this.

Depends what the context of the argument was for him to call you a bully.
