Can someone explain the additional costs added on top of the free 15 hours? I thought it was completely free but I’m finding out that I will have to pay something

So 15 hours free is usually term time only. If you want all year round care then it works out spread out throughout the year 11 ish hours per week. You then need to pay for the supplements on top of that which is things like nappies, food etc so that’s an extra charge. Hope that helps x

It depends, my sons is completely free as long as I don’t go over the 15 hours. I provide his own lunch, nappies, wipes, etc (he’s in pants now but always keep some nappies in there just incase),
they provide a fruit snack, his nursery is term time only!
He does Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Every day is 9:00-1:00 apart from Friday where he does 9:00-12:00.
But there are nurseries that charge for snacks / food / nappies etc - it’ll be in their contract that you have or will sign.

hey thanks for this! Can I ask which nursery he goes to? I’m struggling to find one that is term time only

I’m not in Croydon, I’m in Bromley so it may be a bit far for you. But he’s at a pink elephants nursery, there are a few scattered around so there may be one local to you but I’m not sure! Xx
