Hand flapping

Is hand flapping part of development? She is 11 months in a couple of days and I’ve noticed these past few weeks she is hand flapping an awful lot. It can be in lots of different situations such as eating, if I walk in to the room, if she’s getting bored and wants picking up etc or just if she’s just sat there playing.

It’s completely normal :) they’re still figuring out the world around them and what their arms even are haha it’s usually out of excitement or a big emotion they don’t know how to express except arm flapping xx

My boy hand flaps if he’s excited/ happy/ tired/ wants something …. They are just learning to communicate I think x

Yes my lg does this too. She isn’t moving yet so I think she just has so much excess energy that comes out in her arms when she’s excited, tired, annoyed etc!

Mine hand flaps when she is upset and wants to be picked up hahaha But I guess it is a developmental thing
