How long do you lie down with your baby after feeding them to sleep before slipping out of bed for dinner etc. (and then returning to bedshare when it’s time for you to sleep)? I find that if I unlatch too quickly my 11 mo wakes up within an hour. Do you for example stay with your baby for 30 mins after they have drifted off or longer?

I was hoping there would be some answers to this as I’m wondering the same… our loooong false starts are getting quite frustrating sometimes!
aww I feel you. Sharing my experience so far. I’ve learned over the past four days that I need to stay with my 11mo for at least 25 mins after he stops moving around while feeding. 3 out of four days we only came to bed around 8 pm. Roughly he was asleep by 8:20, and I would slip off around 8:50 pm. He would wake up around 11 pm by which point I was ready for bed and relatched him. Hope this helps. What has your experience been?
also the one day when we came to bed by 7 pm, he woke up by 8:15. Guess he wasn’t in a deep enough sleep yet. I relatched and resettled him by 8:45. He was up for relatching by 11:15. I’m pretty pleased by this ~2 hour window although it isn’t much, it gives me time to wind things up in the kitchen and get ready for bed myself.

So i stay latched until he unlatches himself. Once he unlatches though I quickly roll out of the way and put my bra back on bc after he unlatch sometimes he turns to look for it again. Now if he doesn't whimper then I'm good. If he does whimper when he can't find it again I whip out the boob again lol. Sometimes if he doesn't unlatch himself (like right now🤭) ill wait until I no longer feel him sucking, which is usually 45 to an hour, and then i unlatch. If he fights I stay latch but if I slip right out then I go ahead and unlatch myself.
