When did you guys start potty training? I still feel it’s too early for my 13 month old, but would like to get a few age recommendations as well as some potty training tips and seat recommendations!
She tells me when she has went “poopoo” so I feel the time is coming soon!

We did it a couple of months after my son turned 2. We got a few books to read to him and took him shopping to choose his own potty and big boy pants. Then a few weeks after that we went into him and he said ‘I wearing my big boy pants today!’ So we went with it. He was pretty much dry after 3/4 weeks. Poos took longer than wees but not too bad. My only advice would be when you decide to go for it, go for it 💯 as in no nappies (only at night). It really wasn’t as bad as I was expecting!

I waited until my son showed interest in it. If you start too early it might stop progress. My son wasn’t ready till about 3 years

Also be mindful I had a boy and girls potty train faster than boys

2 years old. 13mth sounds young but you know your child best :)

Before disposable diapers were invented, most babies were potty trained around a year. It does take a lot more patience though when they are younger. And some of that may be related to using cloth diapers so the child could feel when they were wet.

yes I def agree 13 months is too young! Just wanted some age recommendations and tips! Thank you 🩷

I would try 2 worked for us! Nappies only for naps and overnight. Make it fun, stickers, potty books and hysteria when a wee or poo goes in the potty!
