Hi all, we’re going abroad in 2 weeks and I’m looking for any advice or recommendations for travelling and being on holiday with a toddler. Still not brought a travel pram🙈 but definitely will be, and she gets 10kg hand luggage but does that include the pram? And is it true that she can have a little case for overhead and then a backpack or something for under the chair? Tia x

Who are you flying with? Some rules are different and depends if you’re buying them a seat or having them on your lap etc. Usually it’s 2 x baby items on top of your luggage allowance though x

It definitely depends who you're flying with, if your little one is under 2 and of you've booked them a seat or if they're on your knee (if under 2).if you let us know we can look at the guidelines.

we’re going with TUI and she’s not two yet so is sitting on my knee, I’m also trying to find an affordable pram that is compatible with cabin space but no luck yet. The 2 that I was set on aren’t even compatible x

we’re flying with TUI, I’m going to take her changing back with all her necessities and then a pram if I can find a compatible one x

Ok it looks like when flying with TUI Airways, infants under 2 years old don't have a hand luggage allowance and have a 10kg checked baggage allowance. Infants not occupying a seat don't have a carry-on allowance, and you'll need to carry necessary baby items (food, drinks, diapers, clothing) within your own carry-on allowance. For infants on a package holiday, the baggage allowance is 10kg checked baggage. If you want to take a travel pram on the actual plane, it will class as your hand luggage (as long as it folds to hand luggage size of course). It doesn't seem clear on their website if the car seat and pram are additional to the 10kg check in luggage all though I'd assume so, it's best to call their helpline and double check! Have a great holiday!
