Cleaning pump parts in the middle of the night?

Hi Moms,

What do you guys do to clean your pump parts in the middle of the night? Do you clean them after every pumping session? I have a milk cooler to store my milk so I don’t need to get out of bed in the middle of the night. Are people really getting up and washing out the pump supplies each time too or waiting till morning? I tired to get up and rinse them out with water and do a thorough clean in the morning but hate getting out of bed to do this. Lmk if anyone has any tips or tricks for this tired mom lol

There are wipes made by several brands you can use to wipe everything down without having to fully wash them. You can also do the fridge method where you place everything in a zip lock in the fridge following each use and wash at the end of the day.

I leave my pump in the fridge so I don’t have to worry about washing until the morning!

I put mine in the fridge between uses and wash them every 3 uses

I have been putting them in the fridge in a ziplock back and then wash once a day

So my wic lady told me that I can store my parts in the fridge and use them for my next pump session. I clean my pump every other day and do the fridge trick. Honestly I like having my pump in the fridge cuz it feels good when pumping

Reducing formula feeds

I've just been told by my nursery that they wont give bottles of/and formula from 1 year one, my little boys 1 in 3 weeks.
Looking for advice on how to reduce his formula intake?
Hes loves both food and milk 🫣 I think he will drink cows milk so that's not the issue im more concerned about the fact that hes in a routine with his bottles.

Help

I s it possible to get an emergency pair of glasses? So my little boy was born this morning at 24 weeks + 3 days. I usually wear glasses a but left then at home (and all other bits ) as we assumed we’d be sent home again like we had been many times for bleeding / fluid leakage (obvs that wasn’t the case) and now I’ll potentially be stuck an hour away from home without my glasses for weeks. Which obvs isn’t good how can I get a free emergency pair???

Normal behaviour?

Please help. My son is 12 months old and still breastfed. He goes to nursery twice a week. When we pick him up, he screams all the way home (only 4 mins) and then continues to tantrum and really winds himself up to the point where he is extremely upset and distressed, until I can sit down to feed him. Is this normal please?😭 I’m dreading weening him off

Late talkers

Hi everyone - My daughter is 27months old and still doesn’t say more than a handful of words regularly. She mostly just says one syllable or sound of a word. We’ve been doing speech therapy for a little more than 6 months. She is starting to vocalize and at least try more, but still has not really started producing actual words yet. It is getting harder and harder not to stress out about this and worry that something more might be wrong, like I recently started looking into childhood apraxia of speech.

I’m looking for some community of people who have gone through or are going through similar things just to be able to talk to someone about it. Did anyone have a child with a similar profile at this age - how did it go from there for you? Is anyone going through something similar right now and want to chat?

Thanks.

Refusing formula

Hi moms, my 5-month-old only drinks expressed breast milk and refuses formula completely 😔

Sometimes my supply is low and I really need her to take formula, but she won’t accept it. I’ve tried a few times with no success.

Any tips on how to introduce formula or what worked for your babies?
