Being sync with your partner

How would you feel if you got into a fight with your partner and they say" after all these years we still not sync". He wakes up early to go to the gym. Today he has 3 clients but before that he gonna go to the gym. This morning I woke up to him coming into my room and giving me a kiss. He does this often where he walks into my room and just stands there and looks at me. Then he kiss me and leave. He did that this morning and pretty much woke me up from my sleep. So I woke up and asked if he wanted me to shave his head because yesterday wasn't the right time. I set the table up and then asked him. He responds with and attitude and say I guess. When he came back downstairs I said to him" you can say no i was just offering ". I began cutting his hair and I said to him I apologize next time you can say no. And as I'm talking he cuts me off and started raising his voice, stating he has the morning to himself and blah blah. I then just shut up. After I got done i cleaned up the hair off the floor and went straight to upstairs. He then says when I don't give you a kiss after you shave my head don't be upset. I went up and said to him I didn't expect one after being yelled at. I went to my room upset and closed the door. He then proceeds to text me then I hear a bunch huffing and puffing and him breaking things. We're going back and forth in text then I apologize once again. Then he says things like im expecting you to be something your not, I wish you were smarter, we are not sync. He then brings me two shirts to iron. I went off on him I tried keeping myself together but I was so hurt and angry. I let him know if it wasn't a good time he could of just said no instead of saying yes and throwing a fit. I got called dumb as we are going back and forth he threw a slipper at me because I talked over him. I just got flowers from him yesterday and today I'm being yelled and disrespected. We've gotten in a lot of fights in the past because he feels like I don't have common sense. I'm livid and really hate him.

Wow , thank you for your vulnerability I know this can be very frustrating and hard❤️ I want to encourage you to self reflect on some of these questions. I don’t know your full relationship or anything so I’m not one to just be like “leave him” but I do think at some point as women we are responsible for some of these things unintentionally because how can we expect respect and love if we not taking house steps of courage to do it for ourselves.

If it was someone you love like your sister , friend or daughter and they were with the same man same story what would you tell them to do ?

When you think of the version of yourself you want to become does staying with him bring you closer or farther away?

What would you need to believe about yourself to walk away and what part of you still doesn’t believe that?

I hope this encourages you to not doubt your worth and what your feeling but embody it and increase your faith if what could be!

Thank you your response got me crying all over again. I'm constantly questioning my worth. I literally was woken up out of my sleep and thought we could pbly get it out the way this morning. The ball was in his court. I really tried avoiding it turning into an argument and held myself accountable. He bought be 2 bouquet of flowers and wine yesterday. Now today I'm told we still aren't sync. I have moments I wanna walk away because he says lot of hurtful things that cannot be taken back.

This reminds of this psychology video I just watched yesterday. It was focusing on a common theme of where men can tend to project all their unmet needs onto their partners. It’s not always men, but because men in particularly in our society have historically been taught to shut down their emotions and man up, then they end up internalizing all their needs and projecting unrealistic expectations onto this “perfect” partner in their heads that will solve all their problems. In reality no one can completely fulfill every need of someone else when that other person hasn’t done the work to meet their own needs themselves. Even if this isn’t the entire case with your situation. It’s clear he has VERY high expectations for you and seems like he expects you to just be perfect or read his mind. He’s treating you as if it’s your obligation to baby him and it’s screaming that he actually doesn’t know how to be an adult and regulate himself without projecting all his needs onto you.

This reminds me of my ex. Always turning something small into something catastrophic. Then claiming I'm dumb or demeaning or disrespecting him...I have 3 degrees btw and chose my words and actions very carefully (walked on eggshells) . I went to counseling after our relationship, because he did turn violent towards me. And the therapist told me about crazy making (he was making me feel like I was the crazy one). But nothing was ever really my fault, but I was constantly apologizing. Oh then he'd love bomb me...I love yous, best thing that ever happened to me blah blah, flowers the works.

We literally had an argument because I wouldn't apologize because he felt like I was taking too long to leave a muy thai event he bombed. I was literally right behind him...
But you said he was breaking things, so unless he puts in some serious work, his aggression could turn towards you if it hasn't already...

Hi babes- obviously this is a small snippet of your relationship, but please look into the circle of violence and see if you feel like that fits his (and your) behavior. It can be an easy circle to fall into and it’s hard to get out of. Speaking from experience, it starts so easily as arguments and making up and escalates from there. I could be totally off base but behavior like breaking things can very quickly turn towards you and it very easily can be someone you thought would never lay a hand on you (again-speaking from experience) just be safe and make a decision that is going to be best for you :)

Partner no longer wants baby #2

Before our son was born we originally both wanted minimum 2 kids but we were hoping for 3-4. My partner found the birth traumatic to watch and also struggled a lot with the newborn/baby stage. He no longer wants to have any more children and it’s completely breaking my heart. I need another baby. We’ve spoken about it a lot and the options. He said he wasn’t COMPLETELY closed off to it so I asked him to try and work through his feelings and reconsider his decision. He eventually said he definitely doesn’t want another. I know that I will always want one and my feelings will never change. Do we have to break up or does anyone know anything else I can do to help change his mind? Has anyone else’s partner said this and then changed their mind? I don’t want to break up because I adore him and our life together and I’d hate to split up our family for “selfish” reasons and make my son miss out on having both of us together but I just don’t know what to do

Nursery funding

My child turned 9 months last week. I applied for government funded hours nearly 2 months ago and so well within the required timeframe for the April term, however upon receiving my first invoice without the funding applied and having questioned this, I have now been informed that the stretched funding doesn’t start until 4th May.

Has anyone else been told it won’t start until May?

The government site states it should start from April 1st, and so I intentionally set my nursery start and return to work as the start of April for that reason, knowing that I wouldn’t be able to afford the nursery on my sole income without the funding

Jealous of my husband

I’m so jealous of him and it’s making me resentful. We have a ten week old and I’m jealous that he is at work all day. I’m jealous he can leave for lunch and actually eat an uninterrupted lunch. Take a phone call uninterrupted. Chat with a friend he runs in to uninterrupted. Even go to the bathroom when he wants uninterrupted. He comes home from work when he wants. He’s not on a set schedule. Some days are late some are early. It depends on when he’s done. I’m jealous he can come home at 10pm and shower, eat and go right to bed uninterrupted because I already have the baby asleep. He doesn’t have to worry about anything house wise or baby wise because I’ve done it all. Meanwhile I’m covered in puke and crap and smell like rotten milk. When he is home he is VERY active and helpful. So it’s not that. I’m just jealous his world hasn’t changed and mine has I guess. This isn’t something he’s doing wrong so I’m not sure how to get past this. I wish I could keep him home all day because that’s how helpful he is, but I understand he obv needs to work.

Toddlers

How often are your toddlers asking for food? My oldest who is 3 just finished a whole plate of food and not even 10 minutes later he’s requesting more food. I know he’s going through a growth spurt, but how do you respond to this.

He has no respect for anything to do with me.

Husband and I decided to separate 3 days ago. I've been sleeping on the floor in the kids room, and we both have to stay in the same apartment for a while. He wont stop pushing little things and I am reaching my limit. Photos in comments
